Hands free cell phone law now in effect in Tennessee

It's not only dangerous... It's now against the Law! Beginning July 1, 2019, it is ILLEGAL to use your phone in TN while operating a vehicle. If caught motorist could face a fine up to $200 for using their phone while operating a motor vehicle. Drivers will be prohibited from physically supporting or holding a cell phone while operating a motor vehicle. Devices that are hands-free will be allowed, including "headphone devices, wired and wireless earpieces or device’s worn on a wrist or connected to the vehicle to conduct a voice-based communication.
